$250,000 Challenge Grant Issued… and achieved!

May 4, 2010

Less than 1 year after being issued a $250,000 challenge, we are happy to announce that it has been surpassed.  Many thanks to all of you who helped us reach this goal… and now onto the next one.

Gary L. Wilson, trustee of the private Wilson Thornhill Foundation, has issued his third challenge to Strive.  As a show of faith in our long-term vision and to strengthen our current efforts in this climate of economic uncertainty, Mr. Wilson has agreed to match all funds raised up to a total of $250,000.

In 2004, Wilson issued his first challenge in the amount of $125,000. That challenge was achieved and the resulting fund enabled renovation of our studio and much more (please see photo tour).

In late 2006, Wilson issued a second challenge in the amount of $300,000. That challenge, too, was successfully achieved by the end of 2007. This fund enabled us to expand our programs into our fully renovated  11,000-square-foot mini-campus.

Strive is 100% debt free and has 100% equity in our fully renovated campus.
No donor gifts are ever expended on rent, lease or mortgage costs.
