My name is Joselyne and I am thirteen years old. I have five people living in my house, my mom, my two sisters, my brother, and I. Counting all my siblings though, we are nine in total, plus my parents it’s eleven of us. I share a room with my little sister. Everything that she owns is there but she never sleeps there which is really annoying because I could just have my own room. I have three pets, a dog and two cats. My dog’s names are Kooties and my cats’ are Chancho and Tonks/Tylon. When I am older and more responsible I want to be a social worker that helps kids who are neglected or abused. I want to do this because it is just sad to me how they are being treated and I do not want that happening to anyone.
In my spare time one of the things I like to do is read. I like reading fiction books. My favorite book series is Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Because of my habit of reading something over when I like it, I have had a certain interest into Greek Mythology. I also like collecting bookmarks. Since I started reading more than one book at a time, I only had one book mark so I had to get more. (I don’t like folding the pages.) People say I am really weird because of the things I like. A lot of my friends like one thing then when that trend is over they like another. I am not trying to fit in so I like what I like. My favorite colors are purple and neon yellow. I do not have a favorite food. My favorite television show is Smallville because it is interesting to watch. My favorite movie is Avatar because it really changed the way I look into nature. I am not a vegetarian but I try to avoid meat. Someday I will become vegan and be able to convince people to at least become vegetarian.
The reason I come to Strive is because I always used to need help in my homework. Now I use the help I am given at Strive and most of the time I finish my homework. The thing I like most about Strive is that I almost always finish my homework and the second reason is that it has a keyboard. Strive helps me a lot because I never got the math homework, now with a little explaining and practice I get good grades on my tests.
